Story

Wooden Floor is a horror game inside an old house that seems normal but the further you progress into the game you start to realize that rooms change if you close a door behind you and whole corridors appear out of nowhere. Not being able to predict what is going to happen next or where you are heading for you need to make your way through the increasingly maze-like becoming house to find a way out of this bad dream that you just woke up into. The only thing that goes with you is the wooden floor underneath your feet.

This game was pretty much an one man project, so it took me a lot of time to create. Enjoy!

A newer version of this game and a sequel to it are available on Steam and also on itch.io.

Awesome music and graphics for this game's video-trailer on youtube. I like e.g. how those shelves and books looking realistic in position, single paper on the floor being not just "mirrored/reflected" in degrees, especially that torch's flames look cool (it would be even more prefect if that piece of fabric above would be animated, like a breeze of wind getting it in motion).

Trees and skies being one of my fav's too when it's about animation within specific games. Both ceilings of the rooms in that building looking identical, are there also different floor-tiles and walls or rather just the objects being focused in animation? It would be wow, if those details could get bit varying visuals too.

Also its outro with the title and background-sound fits and gets excitement rising for playing this game. Also itch's theme with wooden borders & black background suits there.

Specs requirement?

epicly epic

Great game, but it was too dark in most areas. I had to find out what other people did just to find my way around. I ended up getting the bad ending in this one, but I will replay the last level just to get the other one that someone else mentioned.

Edit: Finally got the good ending. Nice work! I love the boss round. It took me a while to get it, but I did!

Really enjoyed the game.. I saw markiplier play the demo back in 2014 and meant to check it out..  hard to believe it's been 6 years
